I didn't start my professional journey as a Marketer. My first degree was a BSc in Physics, from the University of Patras, Greece. Before and after my first degree I was working as a Physics & Math tutor and school teacher. Among other jobs, I have worked as a clerk and a door-to-door salesman.
During my second degree, MSc in Nanoscience (University of Copenhagen, Denmark), I decided to make a career change towards the business sector. Thus, after tens of certificates in Business and Marketing, combined with UX Design certificates, I landed a job as a Digital Marketer in a small B2B company. I did pretty well in my role and continued studying and learning for all my 6 years in the company. Simultaneously, I was working as a Usability Tester Freelancer.
Being a restless mind, I quit my job and pursued a third degree, this time in Marketing, to enhance my knowledge in the field. Today, I am a Marketing Practitioner, holding an MBA in Marketing from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, dedicated to designing, implementing and evaluating Marketing strategies, tactics and activities.
During my occupation in Marketing, I realized that most people have a wrong impression and feelings about Marketing; they think it is unnecessary, overrated or even manipulating! Unfortunately it is not their fault; many companies use Marketing only as a means for profits, without concerning about their consumers and the rest of their stakeholders, including the natural environment.
I have decided not to participate in such "dark" methods. I consider myself a "Marketing Jedi", embracing the light side of Marketing. I visualize a world where Marketing would do what it is supposed to do; create awareness for a brand and help consumers decide what they really need.
Creating a Marketing plan for your business can be frustrating and risky, as money and time can be wasted. But even after assigning this task to a professional, most business owners find themselves wondering "And now what?".
That is why I have decided to help businesses with their Marketing plans, by creating for them tailored and easy solutions; easy to understand, easy to implement and easy to control and evaluate.
Instead of just telling them what to do, I educate people on why, what and how, in order for them to continue their Marketing efforts unaided.
